Labor Day Weekend
For Labor Day we took a road trip through parts of Southern Colorado - you'd have to ask Aaron for the exact details. I just get in the car and go along for the ride! We spent a lot of time looking for playgrounds in various cities, since we've discovered that it works well to let Preston and Haley run around at the park with Aaron while I feed Brekken in the car. Preston is fearless when it comes to slides... the bigger and twistier the better! We visited a little town called Creede - that was my favorite area of the trip. Just an old mining town with lots of funky little shops and restaurants. It was only about 4 streets wide... but they had a nice playground! The also had some fun restaurants. Haley really wanted to eat at the Mermaid Cafe... But it turned out to not be very kid-friendly, so we just took a picture of the mermaid for her instead.

Keith Olbermann may be the "voice" of MSNBC, but network executives have decided to yank the talkmeister off its political anchor desk after the cable channel finished dead last in the Nielsen rankings of all news coverage during the two weeks of political conventions. The network announced Monday that Olbermann and Chris Matthews have both been booted as co-hosts on political night coverage in favor of David Gregory, whose White House press corps experience may make him better suited to deliver sober and less opinion-driven assessments of the news. All summer, MSNBC executives have fought off complaints that Olbermann and Matthews, the network%u2019s top commentators, could serve in the role of impartial newsmen. Those complaints reached a crescendo last week when Olbermann, reporting on the Republican National Convention from New York rather than St. Paul, apologized to the audience after the channel aired a Sept. 11 video tribute crafted by the RNC. Assalamualaikum, Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.. Buah rambutan itu, ada berbaki lagi. Dan sekarang, abah tengah mendaye saki bakinye. Mendaye? Ko sebut mendaye gak ke? Mendaya atau mendaye. COntoh ayat. "PEgi lah daye rambutan tu, boleh makan ramai2." Aku rasa ko pon sebut daye gak ye? Ntah. Puasa. Ok. CUme time keje tu mcm mati kutu sket sbb tak boleh makan. Hah! Tak tak. AYat tu tak betul. Mati kutu sebab budak2 ni suka bukak Majalah Saji, Majalah Wanita Majalah Rapi dan tunjuk n baca kuat2 resepi yg ada. LEpas tu pegi amik buku masakan yang tebal2 tu sume. Bayangkan, satu hari dok ngadap gambar makanan. BErapa kali telan air liur tok sah nak cakap. Fuuhhh... KO tau la kan, gambar2 makanan dlm majalah n buku2 tu sume menarik tertarik dan da bomb. Urlaubsregionen gibt es viele. Doch wissen wir wohl alle, dass man diese nicht nur in fernen und exotischen Ländern finden kann, sondern auch ganz in unserer Nähe. So ist es auch nicht verwunderlich, dass es auch ganz in unserer Nähe viele schöne Reiseziele gibt, die mit ihren vielen Besonderheiten dafür sorgen, dass wir nicht nur einen schönen und erholsamen Urlaub verleben, sondern auch einen überaus interessanten und abwechslungsreichen. Da ich das Reisen zu meinen Hobbys zähle, hatte ich in den letzten Jahren oftmals die Gelegenheit die verschiedensten Reiseziele dieser Welt einmal zu besuchen. Doch waren es hier nicht nur ferne und exotische Reiseziele, die mich hier beeindruckten, sondern auch ganz in unserer Nähe gelegene Reiseziele wie etwa die wunderschöne und zu Spanien gehörende Mittelmeerinsel Mallorca, die mir viele schöne Seiten gezeigt hat, die einen Mallorcaurlaub heute so beliebt machen. Slowing Down
It's official. I have little to no desire for new people right now. Must be autumn. I am looking forward to the BBQ for my grampa this weekend. After that, I have no plans. Just caring for my friends, my son, myself. Looking toward the coming holidays. (Halloween/Samhain is a favorite. I love dressing up! And I'll have a chat with Grampa, too, so that will be good.) Mostly I'm looking forward to the crisp air, and the foggy mornings. I can't wait to see the leaves turn. I'm anxious to stand in the wind, and to feel the rain on my face. It's good to slow down.
